My gut feeling was that the selection just wasn’t great. I kept seeing the same listings over and over, and it never really felt like there was much new to choose from.

I found a car on Cars.com that looked good, but when I called the dealer, the mileage and options didn’t match what was listed. The price was different too, which was frustrating. Not saying it’s a scam, but it definitely wasted my time and made me question how closely they’re checking their listings.

I was able to find some decent cars, but the whole pricing thing was frustrating. They made it sound like everything would be straightforward, but then extra fees started showing up later. I don’t mind paying what something costs, I just hate vague promises and then surprises when you’re already further along in the process.

They did help me out in the end, but the replies were slow. Not the worst experience, just kinda meh lol.

Some of the leads are actually decent, but a lot of them are total duds. I’ll reach out and just get nothing back, which is annoying as hell. It’s hit or miss, honestly

The pages take forever to load, and the filters just keep breaking whenever I try to use them. It’s frustrating.

Overall, I can see why people use it because the selection is definitely there. But the actual browsing experience could be smoother, especially if you’re trying to compare a bunch of options without constantly redoing your search.

I reached out and was expecting a call back, but no one ever got in touch. Disappointing experience overall.

cars.com was fine, fine for checking prices and seeing what cars were out there. But once I showed interest in one car, the calls and emails started coming in a lot. Like, a lot. A few dealers kept following up even after I said I was just looking around. It wasn’t terrible or anything, but it got annoying quickly
